A Firm Foundation – Day 26: Let the Children Come
Date: Thursday, October 30, 2025
Mark 10:13–16 (NIV)
Reflection
People brought children to Jesus, and though the disciples tried to turn them away, Jesus welcomed them, embraced them, and blessed them. He even taught that the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Children model the humility and trust that Jesus calls us all to have. When we welcome children, we welcome Christ Himself. Their presence is not a distraction but a gift.
Reflection Prompts
How do children reflect the heart of God’s kingdom?
How can you make children feel welcomed and valued in worship?
Discussion Questions
Why did Jesus rebuke His disciples for turning children away?
What do children teach us about faith?
How can our church reflect Jesus’ embrace of children?
Closing Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for welcoming children into Your arms. Teach us to see them as You do—with love, joy, and honor. May we bless them as You have blessed us. Amen.
