A Firm Foundation – Day 2: Teaching God’s Word to the Next Generation
Date: Monday, October 6, 2025
Deuteronomy 6:4–9 (NIV)
Reflection
Moses commanded Israel to love the Lord with heart, soul, and strength—and to diligently pass this love on to their children. Faith is not something we keep hidden; it’s meant to be lived and spoken in everyday life. From mealtime prayers to conversations on a walk, each moment is an opportunity to pass on God’s truth.
Our acts of generosity today—whether teaching, mentoring, or modeling faith—are seeds planted in the soil of tomorrow. When we integrate faith into daily rhythms, we leave a spiritual inheritance that cannot be measured in dollars, but in transformed lives.
Reflection Prompts
Where do you most naturally share faith in your daily routine?
Who has “written God’s Word on your heart” through their influence?
Discussion Questions
Why is teaching children God’s Word both a privilege and a responsibility?
How can families make Scripture a natural part of their daily life?
What does it look like to “write God’s Word on the doorframes” today?
Closing Prayer
Faithful God, inscribe Your Word on our hearts and help us to live it out daily. May our homes, conversations, and habits point others to You, especially the next generation. Amen.
