A Firm Foundation – Day 15: Deeper Discipleship
Date: Sunday, October 19, 2025
Acts 2:42–47 (NIV); Exodus 34:6–7 (NIV); 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NIV)
Reflection
The earliest believers devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. Their community was marked by joy, generosity, and devotion to God’s Word. True discipleship is not shallow or casual—it is a lifelong journey of being formed by Scripture, rooted in God’s presence, and shaped for His mission.
God reveals Himself as gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love (Exodus 34). As disciples, we grow deeper when we encounter this God in His Word. Paul reminds us that Scripture is God-breathed—useful for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness. Discipleship is not just information; it is transformation that equips us to live with purpose in the world.
