A Firm Foundation – Day 14: Welcoming Christ in the Stranger
Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
Matthew 25:35 (NIV)
Reflection
Jesus said, “I was a stranger and you invited me in.” In welcoming the least, we welcome Christ Himself. Hospitality is not just kindness—it is a sacred act of serving Jesus in others.
Radical welcome is a visible sign of God’s kingdom breaking into the world. When we embrace strangers, we embody Christ’s love and bear witness to His gospel.
Reflection Prompts
How does this verse change the way you view hospitality?
Who is Christ calling you to welcome in His name?
Discussion Questions
Why does Jesus identify Himself with “the stranger”?
How does hospitality become an act of worship?
What would change if we saw every guest as Christ Himself?
Closing Prayer
King Jesus, You come to us in the face of the stranger. Open our eyes to see You in those we welcome, and may our love for others bring honor to Your name. Amen.
