A Firm Foundation – Day 11: Hospitality and Presence
Date: Wednesday, October 15, 2025
Hebrews 13:1–2 (NIV)
Reflection
The writer of Hebrews urges believers to show hospitality, reminding us that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Hospitality is more than good manners—it is an expression of faith. By opening our homes and hearts, we open doors for God’s presence to be revealed.
In a world of isolation, a warm welcome can feel like a miracle. When the church practices hospitality, it offers healing, belonging, and a glimpse of God’s kingdom.
Reflection Prompts
When have you experienced God’s presence through someone’s hospitality?
How might God be calling you to open your home or life to others?
Discussion Questions
What makes hospitality an act of faith?
How does welcoming others deepen our own walk with Christ?
Why do you think hospitality is so emphasized in Scripture?
Closing Prayer
Lord of Hosts, may our homes and hearts be open to Your presence. Teach us to welcome others with joy, knowing that in doing so we serve You. Amen.
